Kenkyuusei Ichikawa Miori promoted to official member

Yesterday, 市川美織 (Ichikawa Miori) from the 10th Generation Kenkyuusei was announced to be promoted to official member status, though the team she would be in is not decided yet.
Along with her, 森杏奈 (Mori Anna), 永尾まりや (Nagao Mariya), 中村麻里子 (Nakamura Mariko), 大場美奈 (Oba Mina), 島田晴香 (Shimada Haruka), 島崎遥香 (Shimazaki Haruka), 竹内美宥 (Takeuchi Miyu), 山内鈴蘭 (Yamauchi Suzuran) and 仲俣汐里 (Nakamata Shiori) are also promoted with their teams not decided yet.

Ichikawa Miori is my favourite in amongst the 10th Gen Kenkyuusei as she is really cute, not only the looks but the way she sing and speak too!

She was totally so cute in this episode of AKBINGO! ^^


As for the 9th Gen Kenkyuusei, my favourite is Shimazaki Haruka, aka Paruru. Started liking her in 'Majisuka Gakuen 2' where she acted as 'Kanburi' in 'Team Fondue'.

Trip to AKB48 Singapore Official Shop #2

My second time dropping by the shop right after school today. It's so convenient for the store to be in the center of Singapore. =3

And as for today...

Bought the tee of the concert on the 29th May. Did not get to go but at least I can buy the tee for collection ^w^

Heard from them that the list of SDN48 members that were coming for the upcoming concert on 10th of June is out but not announced. Got to know a bit information from them but shall keep it a secret first though. =X Promised them not to spread it out before they release the information in the AKB48 Singapore site. Going to SDN48 Vol.1 anyone? For sure and no matter what, I would be going for this!

AKB48 2nd Handshaking Session, Welcoming the Arrival of Remaining AKB48 Members

Started queuing for the AKB48 handshaking session today at slightly after 12:30pm and the queue was fortunately not too long. Thought that a lot of people would queue very early like on the first day of the Official Shop opening so initially intended to go there at 9 to 10am =X Was stuck with something else thus, did not reach there that early. While waiting I played with my iPod Touch, surfed the net and blogged using my laptop and helped my friend to upgrade his firmware for his iPod Touch 1st Gen. My friends, AKB48 mateys, arrived awhile later.

As compared to the previous handshaking session with Wasamin, Komorin and Myao, this time round we got to hold on to the members' hands longer and chat for a while with them! Did not expected it thus was kind of at a lost as for what to say. My standard topic to the all three was '選抜頑張ります!' ('senbatsu ganbarimasu!' - 'All the best for the senbatsu!) and for Moeno, I additionally said '萌乃大好きです!' ('Moeno daisuki desu!' - 'I love Moeno!') as amongst the three, my favourite is Moeno. ^^ I like her 'Bungee' in the 'Majisuka Gakuen' drama. =3

Umechan pointed at my shirt and I think she asked that if I went to the previous concert on 15th May and whether I would be going to the tomorrow's concert. I was saying yes at all her questions and she sounded very happy ^^ Although I am not actually going to tomorrow's concert as I would not be able to make it, making her happy makes me happy too. =D Hmm.. today is actually the first day I know of her though (there are a lot members in AKB48 so even though I am a fan for sometime already, I am still trying get to know and remember more members). Looks and feel kawaii to me, both pretty and cute. ^^ Shall add her to the list of members that I am currently following.

Still was at a lost as to what to say when shaking Sayaka's hand, so I did an introduction on top of wishing her all the best in the Senbatsu elections. Maybe I was a bit too excited as I finally got to see Sayaka right in front of me after years only seeing her behind the screen? I forgot that she can speak in English rather fluently! Should have talked to her in English so that I can talk to her longer.. wasted my chance to talk to Sayaka... T_T

I went home first to settle some stuff before heading off to Changi Airport Terminal 2 Arrival Hall to welcome the arrival of the remaining 13 AKB48 members that would be performing tomorrow. The fans there are in the midst in preparing the banners when I arrived and starting to get hyped up =3

Why... why did I spoil my previous camera which always gave me awesome photos?! Still not really used to my current new camera and it's also not a very good one... anyways, the point is, Wasamin is in this photo but the photo is blurred due to camera shake! Noooooo... T_T

Next time, I not going to fanboy while taking photos again. It always end up with crappy photos in that way. I shall control myself, take a good shot first before fanboying all I want!
And... I have been saying that I want to save up for a EOS550D or EOS500D.. I wonder when that day would come =_= I think I shall go for EOS600D and after already by the time I have the money.

Tojima Hana and Komatani Hitomi will be joining SDN48

Yesterday evening during the 'Minogashita Kimitachi e' concert at Tokyo Dome City Hall, it was announced that AKB48 graduates 戸島花 (Tojima Hana) and 駒谷仁美 (Komatani Hitomi) will be joining SDN48.

Tojima Hana, aka はな (Hana), and Komatani Hitomi, aka ひぃちゃん (Hiichan), were both 1st generation AKB48 members and graduated on 23 November 2008, during the NHK Hall Shuffle Concert, also known as (AKB48 Masaka, Kono Concert no Ongen wa Ryuushutsushinai yo ne?). The two were in the Sakura no Hanabiratachi Single, and Tojima was also in Aitakatta and Romance, Irane.

Great news? Well, I wasn't really a fan of AKB48 yet at the time of their graduation so I do not know much of them. Shall check on the old PVs and maybe, '7ji 12pun no Hatsukoi' and 'Itoshisa no defense'. Shall wait for their appearance in SDN48 and see how good they are ^^

AKB48 Everyday、カチューシャ (Everyday, Kachuusha) - More than 1.1M copies sold in 3 days!

AKB48's popularity has been growing really fast over the years. They broke the record of 100 thousand Oricon sales in 2009, with their single '10年桜' ('10nen Zakura') selling 125,000 copies, and record of more than a 1 million in 2010, with their single 'Beginner' selling 1,028,000 copies. This year, their total Oricon sales for '桜の木になろう' ('Sakura no Ki ni Narou') hit 1,070,000, breaking the record of sales for 'Beginner'.
This time, on just the very day of release of their latest single 'Everyday、カチューシャ' ('Everyday, Kachuusha'), a whopping 942,475 copies of the single were sold. That's so close to a million, and just in a day!

Even though with the usual sales drop on the second day at 142233 copies sold, the total sales still added up to 1,084,708, breaking their highest sales record within just 2 days. Awesome eh? =D

On the third day,

sales dropped to 57,945 which is not uncommon too. Adding up, this gives a total of 1,142,653 Oricon sales. That's a real jump from their sales of '桜の木になろう' ('Sakura no Ki ni Narou'), and in just three days!

Now that they are not only performing regularly in Japan, I am sure that their regular stage performances in Singapore would definitely boost their popularity even more and I would not be surprised if their Oricon sales reach 1.5 million, or even 2 million.
Let's now wait and see if their Oricon sales can surpass 1.2 million ^^ I dare say it's highly possible!
