I am currently a student in Singapore Polytechnic pursuing a Diploma in Clean Energy, which touches more on cleaner ways of power generation. After graduation, I not only want to further my studies in engineering but also pursue a degree in biotechnology if possible.
On this page of my blog I shall share on how I got to know AKB48 and how I became in love with them - heavily summarized, yet still very long.
I have always been loving Japanese culture since small and over the years and my this passion have been growing stronger as I immerse myself deeper into the rich and vibrant culture. Sushi, takoyaki, udon, teriyaki etc are some of the foods I loved since I am in elementary school and not to forget, I also love the Japanese green tea a lot.
The Japanese pop-culture have always been part of my life since I am small too. Loved Japanese animation and music that are on TV when I am in pre-school and elementary school. Love watching Japanese drama and animations, and listening to Japanese music since my secondary school days. Have been a great fan of 浜崎あゆみ (Ayumi Hamasaki) and 大塚愛 (Ai Otsuka) when in secondary school and also listened to others, like BoA, AKB48, 東方神起 (Tohoshinki; aka DBSK in South Korea), 宇多田 ヒカル (Hikaru Utada) and Sweet Vacation. It was around the end of my secondary school days that I came across the PV for '大声ダイヤモンド' (Oogoe Diamond) and found it real nice, and started following AKB48.
Since early 2011 I started posting more and more on AKB48 on my this blog, and at around the mid of May, I change my template and layout of my blog (with a photo of the Don Quijote, where the AKB48 theater is in Akihabara, as my background). On 14th May - AKB48 SG Official Shop Opening, I spent an enormous amount of my money at the Official Store and found something that I should have found out about years ago when I started liking AKB48 - official photo sets (More on my blog post here). Only started collecting AKB48 photos ever since then. On 15th May, the concert was such an awesome experience that I have decided that I shall go for future stage performances whenever time allows, and of course, if my wallet allows!
Amongst all the members in AKB48, I love Akicha the most and followed by Yukirin, Wasamin, Sasshi, Paruru, Yuko, and Mayuyu. As for in SKE48, I love both Matsui, Rena and Jurina, and Shiorin! ^^ In SDN48, my favourite is Yukarin. In NMB48, my favourite is Sayaka and followed by Maachun.
My greatest wish is to be able to experience life and work in Japan. However, before that, I would like to visit Akihabara, Ikebukuro, Shibuya, Nagoya, Hokkaido, Osaka, Nakano... eh... too much too list! Hahax!
Hope I can fulfill this wish =]
DISCLAIMER:
This blog is for my life on days being a 'Wota' (ヲタ) and 'Otaku' (オタク). It is not affiliated and have no relations to AKB48, or any of the sister groups, or any other entities - unless specified. It is also not really a news site for AKB48 but I would still try to keep this blog as up to date as possible on the '48' project (mainly those of my interest) as I am (or rather, going to) using my this blog as a portal to the fandom of AKB48. Would be adding more features on this blog in the near future to make this blog more like a portal, like twitter feeds from AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, SDN48, and some of the girls, links and information on the '48' project. Comments are welcomed and if there is any mistakes in any of my posts, please do drop a comment to inform me. It would be much appreciated.
Lastly, do enjoy your stay on this site ^^ and thanks for dropping by!
