NO NAME Debut Single - '希望について' ('Kibou ni Tsuite')

It was revealed that AKB48 formed a new sub-unit called 'NO NAME', who will be providing the opening and ending theme song for AKB48's latest anime, AKB0048.

The members of 'NO NAME' will be made up of the 9 members from AKB48, SKE48 and NMB48 who were chosen to be the voice actresses of the AKB0048 Kenkyuusei - Nakaya Sayaka (Team A), Watanabe Mayu (Team B), Sato Amina (Team B), Ishida Haruka (Team B), Sato Sumire (Team B), Iwata Karen (Team 4), Yagami Kumi (Team S), Hata Sawako (Team KII), Mita Mao (Team M).

The opening song of AKB0048 will be '希望について' ('Kibou ni Tsuite') and the ending song will be '夢は何度も生まれ変わる' ('Yume wa Nandomo Umarekawaru').

Cast List of AKB0048

The voice actresses of the three remaining AKB0048’s succession members, Acchan, Sayaka and Sae, were revealed. Sawashiro Miyuki will voice act for ‘Acchan’ or Maeda Atsuko of the 13th generation, Kawasumi Ayako will voice act for ‘Sayaka’ or Akimoto Sayaka of the 10th generation, and Nakahara Mai as ‘Sae’ or Miyazawa Sae of the 10th generation in this anime series.

AKB48 to release anime series 'AKB0048'

AKB48 would be releasing an anime series, called 'AKB0048', and would start airing next spring. There would be 9 Kenkyuusei roles to be taken up and more than 200 members from AKB48, SKE48, NMB48 and HKT48 would be participating in the auditions.

30 members would be selected and announced on the 2nd of December 2011, and
9 members would be chosen out of the 30 through the final auditions to be held on 13th of December and would be open for public audience.

Storyline

In the beginning of the 21st Century, a world war breaks out over interplanetary travel technology. After significant damage to the ecosystem, mankind forces themselves out of Earth, which begins the Star Calendar 00.

Shortly after, entertainment and music become heavily regulated because of it’s power to corrupt people’s hearts. One by one, idols disappear, and eventually go extinct. However, there was one idol group by the name of AKB0048 who had reincarnated during that time. They rise up as “illegal idols” by inheriting the light and spirit of the legendary AKB48.

Because they have an overwhelming influence, the girls are attacked and are labeled as “terrorists”. They bear arms and fight back in order to protect their stage, their fans, and the citizens.

In the Star Calendar 0048, a new story revolving around the 77th generation research students is about to begin.”
