SDN48's CinDy to join Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 Temporarily

Aki-P's Google+ was really shocking yesterday night. No one would really have expected that CinDy, 1st Generation member of SDN48 and AKB48, would be chosen to join Warota7 (short for Watarirouka Hashiritai 7), even though it's temporary.

Ever since the sudden announcement of Nacchan leaving AKB48 and the sub-unit, Warota7, many fans including me were wondering who would be taking Nacchan's place in Warota7? If no one is replacing, wouldn't make it Warota6? Wouldn't staying with 6 members against the contract?

Well, it was revealed yesterday night on Aki-P's Google+ that CinDy will be temporarily taking that place. Of course, it surprised many people, even the 6 members of Warota7, and brought up quite some heated discussions - even Warota7 had their own meeting on this matter through SMS. CinDy, now 26, is 6 years older than Harugon (Nakagawa Haruka) - who is the oldest among the 6 remaining members of Warota7, plus SDN48 would be disbanding after the farewell concert at the end of this month. Many would say, 'How can this be possible?? Is Aki-P joking?'. If look deeper into the matter, CinDy joining Warota7 temporarily isn't that impossible actually.

Some facts listed that are in favour of CinDy joining Warota7:

• CinDy was the unofficial leader of Team B before the mass reshuffle of the teams in 2009
• Her princess character fits the image of Warota7
• Warota was initially intended to be a sub-unit consisting of Team B members
• CinDy's agency is also OgiPro (same as the other Warota7 members except for Wasamin who transferred)
• CinDy knows the history of Warota/Warota7 [reason links to point 1]

I am actually okay with Aki-P's decision but even though it's temporary, I hope that CinDy would really be treated as a real member and not just a spare as it won't look very good to be just a spare, and that it won't drag too long either as after all, CinDy is already 26.

SDN48's Stage '誘惑のガーター' ('Yuuwaku no Garter') to be released in CD & DVD

My wish is finally answered!!
SDN48 revealed that they will be releasing their stage performance '誘惑のガーター' ('Yuuwaku no Garter') in both CD and DVD on 14th of March. Both the CD and DVD will have two discs, where the first disc features the 1st Generation members while the second disc features the 2nd and 3rd Generation members.

Welcoming SDN48 members at Changi Airport (Vol.12)

Have been preparing and working on my Yukarin fan board (photo above) while rushing my revisions for my upcoming examinations. Not very easy, seriously. Especially when it's going to be the last ever wave of examinations before I graduate from Polytechnic, while I am having mixed emotions about the coming concert (later today) as this would be SDN48's Last Stage in Singapore before their mass graduation (disbandment) at the end of next month. I actually wanted to also design one more T-shirt for Yukarin but didn't have the time and the spare cash, unfortunately.

The two collage on the board is made up of 200 photos of Yukarin from magazines, photo books, her blog, etc that were taken from my archive. Almost all of the parts on my board are attached by temporary methods so that they can be easily detached and kept, and the board can be rolled up, so as to be more portable - due to it being very big and would be hard to carry.
(Each of the collage is about A4, so you can gauge the size of the board from there)

Managed to complete the board while at a friend's house, a fellow fan of SDN48, and construct the letter that is to be given to Yukarin in English first before heading to the airport by cab yesterday. Wrote out the letter in proper paper in English and Japanese while waiting at the airport, with help on Japanese from a good old friend, who is also a fellow fan.

The letter is then sealed in an envelope which is attached to a small foam board, on which a rose and a lion plushie are attached.

This small board is attached to my big board (at the top of this post) using three small hooks so that I can easily detach and give it to Yukarin.

When the SDN48 member came out of the check-point and were heading to the luggage belts, initially it was really hard to identify who is who as they were wearing masks and there were three who looks like Yukarin. Luckily one of them looked directly at my very-obvious-board and pointed while appearing to be very happy. Was very sure that's my Yukarin ♥
Oh, and I forgot to mention, I was wearing the custom made Yukarin T-shirt I gave her the previous time she came.

When I gave her the small board, she was so happy while thanking me. Had a lot to say to her but well, as usual, I was stuck. Only managed to say 'コンサート頑張って!' ('All the best to the concert!') in the end with her replying '頑張ります!' ('I will do my best!'). Other than that I was just following her all the way to the van. Why am I always so nervous?? TAT

Well, somewhat mission accomplished. Shall have a good rest now and prepare for my first examination tomorrow... no no, later today! Followed by concert afterwards.

SDN48 1st/Last Album - 'NEXT ENCORE'

Last month it was revealed that SDN48 will be releasing their first (and sadly their last) album on the 14th of March before the mass graduation. The details of the album were just revealed. The track list would consist of all their first four singles including the coupling track, and a new song. The bonus DVD features a special footage title 'SDN48 no Kiseki', which contains scenes from the member auditions, clips of the group’s first performance, and the road to their major debut

Some people might feel there's nothing much special and thus not getting it (seriously I saw some people who thought that way) but I feel that this is like a consolidation or summary of SDN48 through their past singles. What's more, the DVD interested me the most as it features the history of SDN48 all the way from their auditions to the recent AKB48 request hour, plus interviews with the SDN48 members.
What's more to ponder about? I went straight ahead and ordered it! XD

SDN48 Final Stage Cafe Event

As usual, a cafe event would be accompanying the upcoming SDN48 concert and it was just announced earlier today. I already expected that Kondo Sayaka and Chen Qu would be at the cafe event as Sayaka can converse in English very fluently and Chen Qu can converse to the Chinese-speaking fans very smoothly. Serina was a rather pleasant surprise and I wish I had the extra budget to buy the cafe event tickets. Shall see how then.

Tickets would be on sale this Saturday (4th February) noon for SGD35 and there would be two sessions, 11am and 2pm. The ticket grants a meal and a drink.

Announcement from AKB48 Singapore

Due to unforeseen circumstances in her schedule, Serina has to return to Japan after the AKB48 Theater Live SDN48 Final Stage concert and is unable to appear at the AKB48 Official Cafe Singapore on 18.02.12 (SAT). Sayaka Kondo and Chen Qu will still be appearing at the AKB48 Official Cafe Singapore event. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

AKB48 Singapore Theater 'Live' Vol.12: 'SDN48 3RD STAGE'

Announced at the Vol.11 - AKB48 6th Stage, the next concert would be by SDN48. Ever since the announcement of SDN48's disbandment, I have been wishing for one more SDN48 concert in Singapore, one last one. Was totally bursting with joy at the AKB48 concert when it was announced.

What's more, just a couple of days ago, it was revealed that my oshimen (favourite), Yukarin, would be coming through the SDN48 members' blogs! It was then announced earlier today the member list. I am so going to use this chance to cheer all I can for her and confess my love to her as much as possible before I won't be able to see them again. T_T
I am sure this concert would be the most touching, the most memorable and the most tear-jerking concert ever in my life.

Sales of the tickets would start tomorrow (1st February) noon on the official site, and 11am 4th February (Saturday) at the official shop in *SCAPE.

SDN48 releasing their last Single & Album in March

SDN48 announced that they would be releasing their 5th (and last) Single, titled '負け惜しみコングラチュレーション' ('Makeohismi Congratulation') on 7th of March and their first album on the 14th of March.
It was also revealed that 'Makeoshimi Congratulation' would be generic idol like, thus not having the usual sexy and seductiveness, and the members would be wearing school uniforms, which is considered proper for their graduation.

No other details are revealed as of yet. Below are the comments by the SDN48 members regarding the upcoming single.

SDN48 4th Single - '口説きながら麻布十番 duet with みの もんた' ('Kudoki Nagara Azabu Juban duet with Mino Monta')

It was recently announced that SDN48 would be releasing their 4th Single on the 28th of December. It would be coming in a Type A and B editions, where each would include three tracks and a DVD. The third song would be different, thus there would be in total four new tracks.
Could this be the last single before the mass graduation of all the members (disbandment)? More details are yet to be announced.

AKB48’s sister group SDN48 has revealed that the title of their new single will be “Kudoki Nagara Azabu Juban duet with Mino Monta“!

For this new single, the girls will be singing a duet with tv presenter Mino Monta. The song is described to be a duet song perfect for karaoke during the New Year’s holiday. The 8 members who will be participating in this song are Akita Kazue, Urano Kazumi, Ohori Megumi, Kohara Haruna, Sato Yukari, Serina, Noro Kayo, and KONAN.

It’s been about 5 years since Mino Monta participated in a CD recording. The recording for “Kudoki Nagara Azabu Juban duet with Mino Monta” was held in early-November.

The single will come in both Type A and Type B editions. Both versions will come with a DVD containing music videos, making-of clips, and special clips.

“Kudoki Nagara Azabu Juban” is slated for release on December 28th.

Frankly speaking, I don't really like the covers of both types of the new single. I just hope that the tracks would turn out good.
Anyways, I feel that this single is kind of awesome as to get a top shot like Mino Monta shouldn't be that easy. in case for those who don't know him, he is a Japanese television presenter who is recognized by the Guinness World Records as being the TV host with the most hours of live TV appearances in a week (22 hours, 15 seconds), as of April 2008.
In short, he is often seen on Japan TV.

During the SDN48 stage performance today, Noro Kayo, captain of SDN48, announced that the whole group would be graduating with a farewell concert next year 31st of March.

This news was spread rather fast and soon enough I got to know about it through a fan-base in Singapore. Was rather shocked and did not really wanted to believe till it was official posted on the SDN48 official blog.

The post also mentioned about the graduation being the end of the 'first chapter' of SDN48. I suppose all members would indeed graduate and replaced a fresh new batch? Can't confirm anything yet, so shall wait for more news to come.

What's for sure to me is I would definitely miss Yukarin a lot as she is the only one that I love a lot in the whole group. Hope she get into a career that she likes after graduation. I will forever support her! >_<

Sending off SDN48 members at Changi Airport

Woke up early today to catch the first train (caught the second train instead) from my place to Changi Airport. Still wasn't able to come up with a gift to give Yukarin as a souvenir yet so decided to take a look in the 7-Eleven at Changi Airport Terminal 2 Departure Hall. Didn't find anything that is really good to give her as a souvenir so I went ahead with this Merlion.

AKB48 Singapore Theater 'Live' Vol.8: 'SDN48 2ND STAGE!'

After reaching home from the airport, I took a short power nap before preparing to set off to work. Yes, work. =_= Wasn't able to get whole day off but I still managed to bargain a half day off though.

Rushed down to *SCAPE at around 5pm and while on the way, a bird shit drop on my head. Omg.. what a day is today. T_T Lucky the bird is eating healthy and managed to washed it away easily in the toilet.

My ticket did not get me the first row (Information on the queuing system here) so I joined my other friends at the back, behind the last row of seats. Wanted to be in first row to be closer to Yukarin (Sato Yukari) and get her attention (and her garter - inside people would know what I mean ^w^) but sadly don't have the luck and 'connections'. The back wasn't that bad though. It was so fun as there's no space constraint! Only thing that still hurt my heart is that I wasn't able to catch Yukarin's garter during the song, '誘惑のガーター' ('Yuuwaku no Garter')... TAT Only the first couple of rows (first row in fact) stand the chance to catch it when she throws it!

Whining aside, the concert was as expected, really awesome and of course sexy! (SDN48 is a mature-themed sister group of AKB48 whose concerts were supposed to be age restricted. With age restriction lifted, the dances would of course be milder but still are sexy)
The concert reached it's peak when they performed the cover songs of their three singles,'Min Min Min', 'Ai Chuseyo', and 'GaGaGa'. Was totally going crazy then o(^o^)o

The handshake session while exiting the concert area was like the previous SDN48 concert in Singapore, totally AWESOME! The SDN48 gives really good handshakes! The day reached it's peak when I reached Yukarin. She remembered me and said some stuff that I did not get initially while I keep trying to say if I can be her #1 fan. I not sure if she got it but I heard something '4' from her. Only soon later did I realize she was referring to the letter I wrote to her, which was given to her along with the customized tee at the airport!

She was actually referring to me only able to come after 4 due to work, to confirm that it was me and was talking about it to me which I don't really remember as I was already on cloud nine!
Due to the delay I caused while I had a conversation with Yukarin, the people behind me was being pushed to speed up the queue - and causing my friend to be not able to shake a couple of SDN48 members' hands. Oops! Sorry!! This is what normally happens when one meets his/her most favourite member of a group. >_<
Only if my Japanese is much better. T_T I could have a proper conversation with her instead of one containing so many question marks!

Rushed out to the back of *SCAPE after the handshake to camp at a good spot at the side of the van which the SDN48 members would be leaving in...

... but in no luck as other SDN48 members sat on the seats in front of my spot and thus Yukarin sat nearer to the back. I did attract Yukarin's attention while she finding for a seat though and what she did TOTALLY MELTED MY HEART!! She waved to me and gave me a moe-moe-kyun heart sign!! <3

Now the trouble. Feel like giving another gift to her relating to Singapore as a souvenir when sending her off at the airport tomorrow but at this time it's impossible to find one already... Shall see what to do tomorrow then.

Welcoming SDN48 members at Changi Airport

How been anticipating for this for quite some time already. One of my oshi (favourite member from the '48' groups) is coming to Singapore! It would be SDN48's second stage later today and my SDN48 oshi, Sato Yukari, is in the member list. Went down to Changi Airport to welcome the SDN48 members yesterday and most importantly, to give Yukarin the custom made tee that I designed.

I did successfully give the tee to Yukarin but the process of giving to her was rather... Ah well, quite sad.. but well, she got it in the end and know that it was from me, so it's still okay.

While they were still behind the glass doors, collecting their luggage, most of the fans that I know were not able to recognize who is who initially as almost every of the SDN48 members were wearing masks, which is actually not uncommon for Japanese. I managed to identify who is Yukarin after awhile and really hoped that I am right as I don't want to give the tee to the wrong person and create an awkward situation. =X (which actually did happen but in another way)

While they started to walk out, a fan girl was totally screaming out to Yukarin that when by the time she reached near the area of the barricade I am at, she did not notice me calling out to her and trying to give her the tee. Unexpectedly, the SDN48 member behind her thought that the tee was for her and took it while thanking me. I was stunned for a moment and I thought I have identified wrongly but when she looked at the tee, she said 'Yukarin?' then I realized I did identify correctly. I am so sorry to that member and I wasn't able to identify who is she so that I can apologize during the handshake event after the concert later today. Things did not really went out of plan though, she called out to Yukarin and passed her the tee while pointing out that it was from me. I tried to wave to Yukarin while showing the tee I am wearing (the exact same tee I made for her - the tee shown above). She spotted me and waved back while thanking me and say 'I love Singapore!'. Was damn happy and I shouted back 'I love Yukarin!!' <3 >w<

SDN48 Special Cafe Event & Shop Visit

Following the SDN48's 2nd Stage this coming Saturday, it was announced on AKB48 Singapore Official Facebook page that there would be a special cafe event on Sunday (9th October) with three SDN48 members,陳屈 (Chen Qu), 近藤さや香 (Kondo Sayaka) and 伊東愛 (Ito Mana), in two sessions, 12:30pm and 5pm.

Tickets would be on sale this Saturday (8th October) 12pm at the AKB48 Official Cafe Singapore and could be either purchased at SGD35 or redeemed with a completed AKB48 point card (limited amount available). Drinks would be served during the event and food vouchers would be given to redeem a meal after the event, which would be valid for two weeks (till 23rd October).

It was also announced that the three SDN48 members, Chen Qu, Sayaka Kondo and Mana Itou would also be visiting the Official Shop from around 5pm onwards. A minimum spending of SGD20 is required during the session to have the point card stamped by the SDN48 members.

I think I can't make it to get the tickets this Saturday... T_T My boss want me to work at least from 12pm to 4:30pm... She actually wanted me to work till 9pm but with some bargaining I managed to be able to work just half a day with a lie (a white lie I would say =X) so that I would still be able to go for the second time slot of the concert. Damn the boss. I did go according to the contract by telling in advance that I can't work on the 8th! Am already damn pissed that I am unable to go for both time slots (2pm & 6pm) and if she changes her mind and say I must work whole day, I am going quit with no hesitation! (Since I actually should not be working for now as I am still studying in Polytechnic and that I got the job in the first place is to get extra income to spend on my fandom, not to obstruct my fandom!) Sorry if this sounds childish >[

AKB48 Singapore Theatre 'LIVE' Vol.6 - AKB48 4th Stage

Didn't intend to go for the concert today initially, mainly due to lack of spare cash =[ Went down to *Scape with just intending to get a concert flyer and go back home. However, thanks to a very kind person I got to enter the 2pm concert!! ^o^ (eh wait.. I thought I should be studying for my Power System Analysis examinations already?? o_o)

Anyways, before the concert I got news from the friend which I ordered Rena photo sets through that one more of the sets arrived. Costed me SGD21 =X Well, Matsui Rena is my SKE48 oshi (favourite). =p

This concert can be considered one of the best I gone so far, not because of the member list (don't have any of my favourites this time in the performing member list), but because of the experience I had while at the most back row. There was so much space at the back that me and my friends went very high during the concert, jumping more than usual, along with all the wotagei actions and shoutings - which are usually rather toned down while we were around the middle rows, due to space constraint and having people behind us. There was so much 'exercise' for my hands and legs that I was totally exhausted at the end and so much shouting that my throat went very sore, considering I just fell slightly sick this morning. XD
The handshake that followed the concert was rather okay. More of like touch and go for most of the AKB48 girls. =[ I still missed the SKE48 and SDN48 handshake sessions as they so much more friendly, holding on to my hand (or rather all the people's hands) with some even as if not willing to let go. =X

Walking around outside the warehouse and the AKB48 Official Shop for awhile after the concert and saw a Japanese guy with a ton of the AKB48's 22nd Single 'Flying Get' Theater version photos. Spotted 4 Akicha (Takajo Aki) and a friend of mine took 2 of them while I took one.

Had a real hard time closing the deal. =X The Japanese guy wanted to traded it for only full set Singapore Theater photos so I offered both my Haachan (Haruka Katayama) and Nakayan (Sayaka Nakaya) full Singapore Theater June sets for just the single Akicha 'Flying Get' Theater photo but he also don't want and said he looking for Team 4 full sets, which I don't have. =[
I tried to offer SGD15 but he also gave me the 'No no'. He asked if can trade with my the two 'Marutto AKB48 Special 2' Team 4 photos, which are the Maria and the Paruru+Miyumiyu+Ranran. This time was a 'No no' from me. Totally not worth. Those photos are Singapore exclusives for the magazine and is in very limited amount, and the Akicha photos can be found very easily on auction sites while those Singapore exclusive magazine photos are not.

Had no choice but to offer a higher cash price and I got it at SGD20

 Looks a bit too China-like =X but well.. I'm still okay with it.

This issue of Teens (August 2011) is really interesting to me. On page 26, there are some exclusive photos featured in the article that were not found anywhere else and I was quite shocked initially when I saw someone I knew in one of the photos (most bottom left of page 26). There is also a short interview with four of the members on the next page, Ohori Megumi (Meetan), Kohara Haruka (Kirurun), Kondo Sayaka (Sayanee), and Chen Qu (Chuchuu). ^^

There is also a page on the soft opening of the AKB48 Official Cafe, featuring Abe Maria (Maria), Shimazaki Haruka (Paruru), and Takeuchi Miyu (Miyumiyu). I also find their interview real interesting and I learned that one of my favourite AKB48 members, Paruru, likes sailor and nautical styles, and often wears them when off stage. >//< Kawaii~!!

Be sure to get it once it's out in your area! ^^ Found out that my area releases local magazines real fast. Heard that certain areas of Singapore still doesn't have August issue of Teens. @.@

SDN48 3rd Single - Min.Min.Min

Announced a few days ago, SDN48's 3rd single would be released on the 17th of August, titled 'Min.Min.Min'. There wound be three versions, Type A, B and Theater version.

You might ask what 'Min.Min.Min' means. It actually doesn't really have a meaning and is just that it's used in the CM for the Min Min Daha anti-sleep energy drink.

There is quite a lot of changes to the Senbatsu members and it was speculated that maybe the management wanted to rotate the members to like balance out the opportunity to all the members.

Have been following SDN48 since their debut single, 'GAGAGA' and am totally in love with their songs. The style of their songs are different from that of AKB48 or SKE48, and is more adult-themed. Really seductive! (Went to their 1st stage performance in Singapore and would totally not forget it! Really awesome!)

For the 3rd single, what actually caught my attention the most is the SDN48's version of Everyday、カチューシャ (Everyday, Kachuusha). Would be really interesting =3 Wonder how it would be like. (My recent post on Everyday Kachuusha here: Tracklist, PV)
Another thing that caught my attention is the 'Singapore Concert Documentary'. I was at that concert, loved it a lot, and have been wishing for a DVD or at least a LOD (Live on Demand) of that concert. Wonder what would the documentary would be like. ^^ Anyways, no matter what, I am so going to get the Type B of SDN48's 3rd single! (Booked it already in fact XD)

Age Restriction in SDN48 Theater Performance Lifted

Mentioned on the AKB48 Official blog, the age restriction of only above 18 would be removed for SDN48's stage, '誘惑のガーター' (Yuuwaku no Garter).

With effect from 16th of June, the age restriction for the SDN48 theater performances would be lifted for the timeslots before 7pm. The age restriction would still be applied for the shows after the 8:30pm timeslot. The ticket prices would be different, with the under 18 shows at 2000円, and 18+ shows still at 3000円. As for the performance wise, the under 18 shows would be toned down and maybe the lyrics a bit altered. I am guessing it would be similar to the performance they just had in Singapore on the two days ago. (Refer to post here)

Mmm... I guess it has no effect on me since I am already of age... but well, with age limit lifted, means more fans can watch their performances! Let's spread the love of SDN48 to more people! >w<
