Also announced during the handshake event of AKB48's latest single 'Manatsu no Sounds good!' in Saitama Super Arena earlier today, 6 Research Students of AKB48 were promoted to become official AKB48 members. It was not mentioned as to what Team will they be entering but it is pretty obvious to me that they will be forming Team 8.
It was announce on the AKB48 Singapore Official Facebook page that the 'LIVE' screening of the AKB47 2nd Janken Tournament would be at Cathay Cineplex Cineleisure Orchard from 5pm on the 20th of September (Tuesday)! Tickets would be on sale from tomorrow online (More details on Cathay Cineplexes site here)
For the line-up and details of the tournament, check out my previous post here.
I am so going for this live screening! >w< Hope I can get enough cash in time =X
Wish Akicha (my oshi, a.k.a. favourite member) all the best in getting the center position (1st)! XO
As posted earlier, the AKB48 24th single's Senbatsu would be decided by a Janken Tournament on 20th of September at the Nippon Budoukan. (check here for more information).
A quick recap - all AKB48 members, 3 AKB48 Kenkyuusei, 5 SKE48 members and 5 NMB48 members would be taking part in the tournament and the members from AKB48 Team Kenkyuusei, SKE48 and NMB48 who won the preliminary rounds, and would be taking part in the main tournament are listed below.
AKB48 Team Kenkyuusei
Rina Izuta (10th Gen KKS)
Anna Iriyama (10th Gen KKS)
Marina Kobayashi (10th Gen KKS)
Hope my oshimen, Akicha, can get a very good placing in this tournament and shall wish her the best of luck! Good luck to all the other members participating too! ^^
The preliminary rounds ended earlier today, which took place in the AKB48 Theater in Akiba, and the results are out!
Group A: Rina Izuta (10th Gen KKS)
Group B: Anna Iriyama (10th Gen KKS)
Group C: Marina Kobayashi (10th Gen KKS)
(KKS - Kenkyuusei, or simply trainees)
Don't really know much of any of them, but still would like to wish them all the best! ^^ I hope that if any of them make it to the Janken Senbatsu, those who won in the main tournament would take the chance to work hard and shine in the 24th Single!
As mentioned in an earlier post that, 3 AKB48 Kenkyuusei, 5 SKE48 members and 5 NMB48 members would be chosen to participate in the main Janken Tournament via their own preliminary rounds.
NMB48 would be having their preliminary rounds today (16th July) at Zepp Osaka,
AKB48 Kenkyuusei would be having their preliminary rounds on the 18th of July in the AKB48 theater,
and SKE48 would be having their preliminary rounds on the 20th of July in Ichinomiya Hall
Initially when news came out that the ten Kenkyuusei that were promoted would be forming a new group called Team 4, I was kind of skeptical, for many reasons. Which I would talk about later. However, as more and more news surface on different sites about Team 4 and a double check on the Official site, I have come to realize that it was not just a rumor but is for real!
A quick glance at members that were promoted to form Team 4:
From 9th Gen
島田晴香 (Shimada Haruka)
島崎遥香 (Shimazaki Haruka)
大場美奈 (Oba Mina)
竹内美宥 (Takeuchi Miyu)
中村麻里子 (Nakamura Mariko)
山内鈴蘭 (Yamauchi Suzuran)
永尾まりや (Nagao Mariya)
森杏奈 (Mori Anna)
From 10th Gen:
市川美織 (Ichikawa Miori)
仲俣汐里 (Nakamata Shiori)
My previous post on the 10 promoted Kenkyuusei here.
Team 4 would be performing their own stage sometime soon but whether if it would be an original stage or reviving a new stage, it is not confirmed yet. Congratulations to the 10 promoted members!!
Okay, now come to the problem. I have been thinking, since a Team 4 is created, could there be a possibility that a Team 8 would be created in the future?
Whether or not that Team 8 would be created, with the addition of Team 4, wouldn't the total of members in AKB48 exceed 48 by a lot and not tally with it's name?
Could it be that Team 4 is a temporary group before there's space in Team A, K or B? (Which I highly doubt so)
Or could it be that there would be quite a handful of members form Team A, K and B be graduated as there was another news that appeared for quite sometime already, saying that Akimoto is going to kick about 8 members out due to halfheartedness or rudeness to the staff. Need to clarify on this piece of news though. (A total horror to the fans of those that would be graduating if this is true)
Yesterday, 市川美織 (Ichikawa Miori) from the 10th Generation Kenkyuusei was announced to be promoted to official member status, though the team she would be in is not decided yet.
Along with her, 森杏奈 (Mori Anna), 永尾まりや (Nagao Mariya), 中村麻里子 (Nakamura Mariko), 大場美奈 (Oba Mina), 島田晴香 (Shimada Haruka), 島崎遥香 (Shimazaki Haruka), 竹内美宥 (Takeuchi Miyu), 山内鈴蘭 (Yamauchi Suzuran) and 仲俣汐里 (Nakamata Shiori) are also promoted with their teams not decided yet.

森杏奈 (Mori Anna) - From 9th Gen
永尾まりや (Nagao Mariya) - From 9th Gen
中村麻里子 (Nakamura Mariko) - From 9th Gen

Ichikawa Miori is my favourite in amongst the 10th Gen Kenkyuusei as she is really cute, not only the looks but the way she sing and speak too!
She was totally so cute in this episode of AKBINGO! ^^
As for the 9th Gen Kenkyuusei, my favourite is Shimazaki Haruka, aka Paruru. Started liking her in 'Majisuka Gakuen 2' where she acted as 'Kanburi' in 'Team Fondue'.
