Death Devils were back!!

DEATH DEVIL, Sawako sensei’s band released their single, containing 4 tracks, 2 songs, Love (insert song in episode 10) and Genom on 23rd of June. DEATH DEVIL is a heavy metal band, made up of Sawako Yamanaka, Norimi Kawaguchi, Jane and Dera, the former members of Sakura High's light music club. The current light music club finds out about the band through old photo albums and cassette tapes left behind in the music room. After hearing a tape of one of Death Devil's performances, Mio is determined to surpass them.

When Sawako attended Sakura High, she was a member of the light music club, along with three other girls. These four formed a popular heavy metal band called Death Devil, known for its wild costumes and spirited lyrics.
Both Sawako and Norimi (Christina) played guitar, while Dera played the bass, and Jane played the drums. Sawako appears to have been the lead singer as well.
Though Sawako has done her best to hide most aspects of her past life, she is still on good terms with her former bandmates.

Funimation announced the licensing of Shakugan no Shana 2 and the OVA, and many other animes

The North American anime distributor Funimation has announced at its Anime Expo panel on Friday that it licensed the live-action Moyashimon television series and the Shiki, Black Butler 2, Sekirei ~Pure Engagement~, The Legend of the Legendary Heroes, and Sengoku Basara Two anime series for simulcast as they air in Japan starting this month. Funimation also announced the 2011 licenses of Darker than BLACK Season 2, Shakugan no Shana (season 2, movie, OVA), Toaru Majutsu no Index, Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail, Hellsing Ultimate volumes 5-7, and the Trigun: Badlands Rumble film. Funimation hosted Trigun producer Shigeru Kitayama at its panel.

Funimation announced that it licensed the Geneon anime titles Texhnolyze, Ai Yori Aoshi, Armitage III, Haibane Renmei, Hellsing (television series), Serial Experiments Lain, Tenchi in Tokyo, Tenchi Universe, the Tenchi Muyo! OVAs, and the Tenchi Muyo! movies.

Update: Funimation has told ANN that it plans to release Trigun: Badlands Rumble in theaters.

Update 2:Funimation also reaffirmed that it does not have the Evangelion: 2.0 You Can [Not] Advance film.

TGX & KHR Team Vongola Photoshoot

As usual, I prepared my EOS 888 film SLR with some rolls of film but this time, I prepared one very special film. A SGD8.5 36 Exposure Kodak Professional ELITECHROME ExtraColor ISO100 film. (Technical Information of the film here). According to reviews and forums, it is meant for landscape and macro shots. However, this time I decided to try it out on portrait to see what effects I can get ^^ Learning photography is about experimenting you know hahax!

Met up with the cosplay team and the photoshoot was commenced shortly. I used my Kodak GOLD ISO200 first and I found out I should have prepared ISO400 films instead =[ Didn't expect the shoot to be mostly indoors. Shall rely on slow shutters with various photographer poses to stablizing the camera. (only if my EOS 10 didn't spoil then can I adjust aperture!)

Didn't take many shots as I only prepared these two rolls of film. Should have came out of my house earlier so that I have time to buy more film =\

The shoot ended around evening and I still have a few exposures left (a few shots left in other words), so I decided to go to the actual event itself to take a look. I found some friends there and took some photos of them in cosplay before I head home. I didn't even really entered the event area yet so I don't know how is The Games Xpo 2010 is like, but I would be coming back tomorrow, to take a look at what's in for me in the event!

Aisaka Taiga -The Last Episode- 1/6 figure

Kotobukiya would be releasing the Aisaka Taiga ( 逢坂 大河 ) -the Last Episode- 1/6 PVC figure from the light novel/manga/anime “Toradora!” ( とらドラ! ) around October 2010 in Japan. It would cost around 6,800円.

Based on the touching scene at the last part of the last episode, this Taiga figure wears a expression with a mixture of "tsun" and "dere" and the way she stands gives an impression that she is embarrassed.

The great girls-with-guns type of anime is back! The first episode (再び空へ - To the skies once again) started airing in Japan yesterday. The announcement for this new season originally comes from an obi strip found on the second volume of the Otome no Maki novel; as well as from the April issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s The Sneaker magazine.
