東方非想天則 (Touhou Hisoutensoku) Tournament @ A.C.M.E. II


Some background information on A.C.M.E.:
Supported by Genesis Frontier, jointly organised by Karashi Kanojo no Mise, watzART!, Hobby Arts, showsDoll and The Card Geeks, A.C.M.E ~ A Certain Magical Event debut in 2009.

First of its kind in Singapore, A.C.M.E aims to be the local Comi-market, bringing anime and manga fans exclusive and limited merchandises from Japan, doujin works by artists from local and SEA scene, games on different platforms; and a great location for all fans to gather and share their passion.

This year 2010, A.C.M.E ~ A Certain Magical Event would be held a Sculpture Square this coming August 28.

Touhou Hisoutensoku (soku, 12.3, TH12.3) is an expansion for Scarlet Weather Rhapsody. It was released on August 15th at Comiket 76. The game adds five new characters: Sanae Kotiya, Cirno, Hong Meiling, Suwako Moriya, and Utsuho Reiuji. Numerous changes and tweaks were also applied to the rest of the cast.

Touhou Hisoutensoku Tournament Rules :

  1. Tournament will be held using Touhou Hisoutensoku (12.3, patch 1.10) *Downloadable from the site
  2. Only Keyboard & Fighting Joystick (HORI Real Arcade Pro Stick 3) will be provided and allowed to be used. Contestants are allowed to bring their own Joystick / Joypad for use with prior approvals by the organizers. (No modified equipments or memory / turbo / quick / moves playback buttons allowed)
  3. Each Match is 2 rounds.
  4. Elimination /Knock-out rounds will be best of 3 matches.
  5. Quarter-Finals / Semi-Finals / Finals will be best of 5 matches.
  6. Free selection of characters. Contestants are allowed to switch characters/profile between matches. Due to time constraints, no changing of cards / profile is allowed.
  7. Contestants must register to enter the tournament.
  8. Contestants are requested to be present at the game area 5 mins before the start of the tournament to draw for your line-up position. Please follow the timings given and be present at the game area for the match. No show will be considered as walk-over in favor of the side present.
  9. A rematch will be given if there are game glitches or technical complications.
  10. Organizers of the Tournament reserves the rights to make all final decisions including changes to the above rules.
  11. Most important rule of all! Take it easy and enjoy the game! Even if you are a beginner, feel free to join the tournament! :3
More Information:
  • For the sake of personal hygiene, hand sanitizers and wipes will be provided. Contestants are encouraged to use them and please remember to wash your hands before playing!
  • Replay files from the game will be made available for download after the tournament. And if resources permit, video version will be made available as well.
  • Default keyboard configs as follow, players are encouraged to use them :

Tournament Timings :

12pm sharp - Briefing and draw for starting match-up. Followed by warm-up matches / practice matches.
1pm sharp - First knock-out round begins.
3pm sharp - Quarter-finals begins followed by Semi-finals.
4pm sharp - Final Match.

The timings above allows breaks in between, feel free to stick around to practice.
