AKB48 Singapore Theatre 'LIVE' Vol.7 - SKE48 2nd Stage

As posted previously, the AKB48 Singapore Theatre 'LIVE' Vol.7 would be the SKE48's second stage. When I heard about the member list first hand when I was at *Scape myself (helping my friend buy the cafe special visit tickets), I did not believed it until I saw it myself online. It would be a full Team KII stage!! OMG!! THIS I MUST NOT MISS!!

AKB48’s “Heavy Rotation” creates new record on Oricon’s Karaoke Ranking! - tokyohive

AKB48’s 17th single “Heavy Rotation”, which was released back in August of 2010, has come in at number one on Oricon’s Karaoke Ranking this week, making this their 43rd consecutive week at number one! Up until now, ORANGE RANGE’s “Hana” has held this record for six years with 42 consecutive first place wins.


“Heavy Rotation” was the result of AKB48’s “2nd Senbatsu General Election”, where Oshima Yuko took first place and was in the center position for the first time. This track was second to AKB48’s first million-seller “Beginner” in Oricon’s 2010 Yearly Ranking, selling 713,000 copies.


“Heavy Rotation” officially entered the karaoke ranking on September 13, 2010 at #12. It gradually moved up in rank until November 1, 2010, where it finally took the first place position and has continued to keep it for 10 months. More than a year after its initial release, “Heavy Rotation” is still in the TOP100 single ranking and is a song people love to sing at karaoke.

Heavy Rotation is indeed an all time favourite amongst fans, or even amongst casual listeners. I love the song a lot as it's really catchy and cheerful. ^^ Way to go AKB48! Congratulations! =D

AKB48 Special Visit on 28th August

AKB48 Cafe Special Visit is here once more and this time we have Aamin, Maria and... ooh! Ranran is back again! (She came for the previous special visit) =D
[In fact all three of them came before for a special visit to the cafe, where Aamin and Maria came for the first visit - 'Summer Holiday Special Visit']

This time there would be two sessions, 12:30pm and 3pm, with each approximately 1hr 30mins. A set menu meal would be included with the usual, meet and greet session with the special guests. Tickets would be on sale from 12pm this Friday at the official cafe for $35 each.

Furthermore, three of them would be visiting the official shop on 5pm (as mentioned in the above picture)!

Would be there this Friday to get tickets for both sessions, not for me as I don't have spare cash =[, but for a friend of mine.

Astonishing sales by AKB48 again!

Oricon released the Daily Singles sales for 23rd August and topping the the chart is AKB48's 22nd Single, 'フライングゲット' (Flying Get), at a shocking 1,025,952 copies for it's first day sales!

it was followed by 'Ｓｅｘｙ．Ｈｏｎｅｙ．Ｂｕｎｎｙ！／タカラノイシ' by V6 (28,943 copies), and 'ＶｉＶｉ夏' by ぱすぽ☆ (14,412 copies).

The previous single 'Everyday. Kachuusha' sold a total of 942,475 copies for the first day, which is really amazing already but understandable as many fans bought multiple copies just for the voting tickets for the 22nd Single Senbatsu Elections (some even in thousands. No kidding!). A voting ticket was included in each of the first press editions of AKB48's 21st single and each person is able to vote more than once. Thus the more voting tickets one have, the more votes he/she can cast.

The AKB48's 22nd single however isn't for Senbatsu elections or anything similar, thus I actually thought that the first day sales would be lower than that of the 21st single. The most probable reason for this amount of sales for just the first day might just be that the amount of fans and people listening to AKB48 have really increased by a lot! Now that's some great news =D

Not only did their 22nd did a really amazing feat, the DVD box set for their midnight drama, マジスカ学園2 (Majisuka Gakuen 2), sold an impressive amount of 10,000 copies in the first week of sales, securing the 2nd position in the Oricon's weekly DVD ranking. The first season, マジスカ学園 (Majisuka Gakuen), sold only 3,000 copies in the first week, ranking at 32nd in overall.

I have watched the first season some time ago and followed the second season while it was airing on TV Tokyo. Found both of the seasons really awesome, not because the cast is AKB48 (along with members from SKE48 and SDN48), but because in general the storyline, action scenes, etc are really good. Wanted to get the 2nd seasons DVD box set but didn't have the money yet >_< It would be costing me near SGD400 with all the shipping and handing included. Would try to get it one day!

Trip to AKB48 Singapore Official Shop #3

Today was actually the first day of photo sales for the July Singapore Theater sets. I went down today, not for the photo sets as I don't have the spare cash, but to collect three Rena photo sets from a friend. (From another friend this time) One of the photo sets I ordered through my friend's friend was missed out during the ordering thus I only got two sets in the end.

As I only got 2 out of the 3 that I ordered (paid on the spot), I now have some spare cash for the moment thus I decided to get one more of the 'Marutto AKB48 Special 2' magazine to see if I can get the Maria Abe photo, so that I can complete the magazine's 'photo set'. The magazine comes with randomly one out of three different photos and from the past two that I bought on Wednesday and Thursday, I got the Aamin and Paruru+Miyumiyu+Ranran photo.

I received the Paruru+Miyumiyu+Ranran photo again, so I traded it away for the Maria photo!

I also got the Akicha 'Chance no Junban' photo today from someone for not a bad price =3

AKB48 Singapore Theater July Photo Sets

Announced near midnight yesterday, there would be photo set sales this weekend, where there would be 70 July sets available on each day (Team A x 20, Team K x 20, Team B x 20, Team 4 x 10). As usual, each person can only buy 1 set and a purchase of a merchandise would be required.

With the increasing number of local Akicha fans/photo collectors, I really have to wish myself good luck even more and 'work extra hard' in order to get a full set now. >_< I struggled so much just to get 3 pieces for the June set and until now I still can't find the remaining missing piece!

Marutto AKB48 Special 2 Magazine #2

Went down to the official shop today after making a trip to the bank to deposit some money. This time from the Marutto AKB48 Special 2 magazine, I got the exact photo I wanted most out of the three types.

Now I am thinking if I should go down tomorrow or on Saturday to try my luck again to see if I can get the Maria photo, to complete the set of 3!

It was announced on the AKB48 Singapore Official Shop yesterday that the 「まるっとAKB48スペシャル2」(Marutto AKB48 Special 2 Magazine) would be on sale from today at $14.60, which would include a random Singapore exclusive photo of members taken in Singapore (total there would be 3 types of photo), with limited copies. Each customer would only be able to buy one copy.

Went down today before work to grab a copy, along with a SDN48 Singapore 'LIVE' file to obtain one chop on my point card. Received the Aamin photo from the magazine.

It was announced in the AKB48 Special Visit Event at the AKB48 Official Cafe Singapore yesterday the member list for the upcoming concert on the 27th of August (Saturday).

Ranran and Suuchan, who were at the cafe special visit yesterday would be back for the concert too! Sad that I won't be able to go for the concert this time round T_T Work...

It was also announced that AKB48 Singapore Theatre 'LIVE' Vol.7 would be on 4th of September (Sunday) and guess what? SKE48 is back for their 2nd stage, for Vol.7! Some members from Team E should be able to come this time round and I wonder if Non non (Kimoto Kanon) would be coming >w< and I shall wish that either Rena, Jurina or Masanya would be coming though chances are near impossible. Considering Rena and Jurina would most probably be busy with the AKB48's 22nd Single's (Flying Get) promotions. More information would be announced soon on the AKB48 Singapore Official Facebook page.

Update (18th August):
Tickets would go on sale tomorrow 12pm online, and physical sales would be available at the official shop from this Saturday.
From this concert onwards, all weekend concerts would be brought forward by one hour, where the two time slots would now be 2pm and 6pm.
